Amazon to Invest $1 Billion in Logistics, Robotics companies

The trucking industry has had continues issues with supply chain management and safety due to an abundant of reasons. From international disputes, to gas prices and health mandates, the trucking industry is no stranger for constant struggle. Any efforts to improve supply chain management is important.

Amazon.com Inc., plans to spend $1 billion in investing in companies that will help develop technologies in production, logistics and over all supply chain management and safety. In sight of wanting to technologically create systems for improvement, Amazon launched the Amazon Industrial Innovation Fund. A venture investment program that will support companies in increasing their e-commerce delivery speed rates.

This technology will help Amazon in all aspects of their business and consumers as well. Although they are working to initially speed up e-commerce deliveries, these technologies will have a great impact on the trucking industry as a whole.
