Averitt Celebrates 50th Anniversary with a Pay Increase for Regional and Flatbed Divisions

Content Sponsored by Averitt Express

During our 50th anniversary this year, we’re enjoying a look back on our five decades of successful operation, as well as celebrating this milestone with increased regional pay and exciting new opportunities.

As part of our 50th anniversary celebration in 2021, we recently announced pay enhancements for newly hired regional truckload and flatbed drivers. Not only do our regional opportunities offer weekly home time, 100% no-touch freight and steady miles, now pay is even higher! With the most recent pay increase, regional truckload driving associates will start at 50 cents per mile, which averages to $1,200 in 5 days and $62,400 per year! Pay will increase to 52 cents per mile after one year with hazmat endorsement. For regional flatbed driving associates, pay starts at 52 cents per mile, averaging $1,375 in 5 days and $71,500 per year. Another great reason to join Averitt today!

Here’s more exciting news for regional driving associates: No Northeast runs! That’s right – our routes won’t take you north of southern Pennsylvania, so you don’t have to worry about dealing with the congestion of the Northeast.

We also know the job that’s right for you today may not be what you need down the road in your career. That’s why Averitt provides opportunities for regional drivers to transfer to other local or dedicated driving positions throughout our network after just 6 months.

If you start as a regional associate and find that your lifestyle or career needs a change, just let us know! We can provide a career path customized to your needs, just as we have for over 800 regional drivers in the past five years. Promoting from within has been an important part of our culture for 50 years and will continue to be as we look ahead.

Thinking about making a career change? Averitt offers so much more than excellent equipment, comfortable runs, and cents-per-mile. As a matter of fact, our More Than Cents Per Mile pay package includes minimum mile, per diem, layover, multi-stop and detention pay, plus additional amounts for assisting within our LTL linehaul network.

We also provide 100+ locations throughout our network that offer safe, convenient parking, many with on-site fueling and maintenance. Plus, driving associates have access to one-on-one driver support specialists at our Driver Support Centers, which offer you all the comforts of home, such as washers and dryers, showers, Wi-Fi and workout areas.

We’re always looking for qualified, passionate people to join the Averitt family, and now is your golden opportunity as we celebrate our golden anniversary! Come aboard and help us shape the next 50 years here at Averitt. Learn all about our driving opportunities here.
