According to Ali Khalil of Easy Truck Rental in Sacramento, California, high fuel costs aren’t the only problem. He now has fuel thieves. Khalil stated, “What they do is put a 5 or 10-gallon tank at the bottom and they literally poke a hole at the curb where they get the most fuel out.”
The results in Khalil having to replace the fuel tanks, which range from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.
Now, Khalil is paying for nightly security protection to deter thieves.
