Driving Forward: National Limousine Association’s 2025 Priorities Revealed

Celebrating 40 Years of Advocacy and Innovation

The National Limousine Association (NLA) is set to mark its 40th anniversary in 2025 with forward-thinking initiatives aimed at shaping the future of the chauffeured ground transportation industry. Known for its longstanding commitment to advocating on behalf of luxury transportation operators worldwide, the NLA recently outlined its plans for the upcoming year following a strategic Board of Directors meeting in Phoenix.

“The insights and expertise shared during this meeting will be the foundation for an impactful year ahead,” said NLA President Brett Barenholtz. “We are united in our mission to protect and promote the interests of our members while driving innovation and sustainability in the luxury transportation sector.”

At the meeting, the NLA outlined five strategic priorities designed to address key challenges and opportunities facing the industry in 2025. Here’s a closer look at the focus areas that will drive the Association’s agenda in the year ahead:

Addressing the Insurance Crisis

The rising cost of insurance has become a significant concern for luxury ground transportation operators. To tackle this pressing issue, the NLA plans to collaborate with major insurance associations to establish a dedicated risk category tailored specifically for luxury ground transportation. By separating this category from ride-hailing and taxi services, the NLA aims to secure more equitable insurance solutions for its members.

Leading Sustainability Efforts

Environmental responsibility remains a top agenda item for the NLA. The Association is doubling down on its commitment to sustainability by supporting carbon offset programs and promoting the adoption of electric vehicles among its members. A pivotal addition for 2025 will be the introduction of the NLA Green Certification Program, designed to recognize operators who make notable strides in reducing their environmental impact.

Hosting the Industry’s Premier Event

The annual Chauffeur Driven/NLA Show continues to be a marquee event for the luxury transportation sector. Scheduled for February 23–26, 2025, at the Paris Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, this year’s show promises cutting-edge exhibits, thought-provoking seminars, and rich networking opportunities for industry professionals to innovate and collaborate.

Honoring NLA’s 40-Year Legacy

2025 marks four decades of NLA’s dedication to the luxury ground transportation industry. To commemorate this milestone, the Association is planning a grand celebration during its annual convention. Additional initiatives include a commemorative publication and an engaging digital campaign that highlights the achievements and legacy of the NLA over the past 40 years.

Expanding Public Awareness Campaigns

Building on the momentum from its successful 2024 efforts, the NLA intends to increase its advertising initiatives to educate the public about the exceptional safety, reliability, and luxury provided by its members. These campaigns aim to set NLA operators apart as the gold standard in ground transportation.

”We are at a transformative moment in the industry,” said Rick Versace, the NLA’s Treasurer and an integral voice during the discussions. “This meeting wasn’t just about solving today’s problems – it was about envisioning what the future of luxury ground transportation should look like and taking bold steps to get there.”

With these priorities in place, the NLA is poised to strengthen the industry it has championed for decades. By addressing today’s challenges and planning for the future, the Association continues its mission of advancing sustainability, fostering innovation, and representing the interests of its global membership.
