The holiday season is a time to reflect on the spirit of giving, and two prominent transportation organizations are leading by example, making a significant impact on their communities. Avant Garde Limousines and the Chauffeured Transportation Association of New Jersey (CTANJ) are showing their commitment to charitable causes through generous contributions, volunteer efforts, and community support.
Avant Garde Limousines Partners with Make-A-Wish to Grant Lifelong Memories
On December 5, Avant Garde Limousines, Coach & Transportation, based in Indianapolis, participated in the 28th annual Make-A-Wish Request-A-Thon, a 36-hour fundraising event hosted by 99.5 WZPL and The Smiley Morning Show. This year, Avant Garde President Denny Leinhos and HR Manager Katie Jones volunteered their time, alongside 11 other employees, answering phones and encouraging donations for the cause. Their involvement helped raise an incredible $875,989, all dedicated to supporting the Make-A-Wish mission to grant life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses.
In addition to their volunteer efforts, Avant Garde presented Make-A-Wish with a $10,000 check, which will cover the cost of fulfilling one child’s wish. This marks the sixth year the company has partnered with Make-A-Wish to provide transportation for Wish children. Over the years, Avant Garde has helped transport more than 300 Wish participants, ensuring they enjoy magical experiences such as trips to Disney World, shopping sprees, and even the chance to be the Colts mascot, Blue, for the day. Most recently, Avant Garde provided transportation for 27 children to attend a Taylor Swift concert.
CTANJ Supports Toys for Tots with Annual Holiday Dinner
On December 12, the Chauffeured Transportation Association of New Jersey (CTANJ) hosted its annual holiday dinner at Fernandes Night Club in Newark. The event, attended by over 90 members, vendors, and guests, not only provided a festive evening of networking and celebration but also served as a significant charitable effort in support of Toys for Tots, the Marine Corps-sponsored program that collects toys for children in need.
During the event, CTANJ collected dozens of toys, filling three large boxes to support the program. The generosity of CTANJ members and attendees highlighted the transportation community’s dedication to giving back, especially during the holiday season. The evening also included a lively cocktail hour, thanks to sponsors such as Buffalo Limousine and Complete Fleet Livery Sales, followed by a Brazilian Rodizio steak dinner.
CTANJ President Mike Rose thanked attendees, sponsors, and board members for their contributions. He also recognized the important work done by the association to make a meaningful impact.
In addition to the toy collection, the event featured an exciting auction for a CD/NLA Vegas Show pass, which raised additional funds for CTANJ’s initiatives.
A Season of Giving
Both Avant Garde Limousines and CTANJ are shining examples of how the transportation industry is giving back this holiday season. Through volunteer work, fundraising, and charitable contributions, these organizations are making a positive impact on children and families in need. Their efforts serve as a reminder that the true spirit of the holidays lies in compassion, generosity, and community support.
