Coach Atlantic Maritime Bus, Canada’s largest family-owned motorcoach operator, has entered into a significant agreement to purchase 100 coaches from Prevost over the coming years. The milestone aligns with Prevost’s 100th anniversary, highlighting the company’s century-long legacy in the motorcoach industry.
A Partnership for the Ages
The recently signed agreement underscores the strong connection between the Prince Edward Island-based Coach Atlantic Maritime Bus and Quebec’s Prevost. The deal was finalized just before the end of Prevost’s centennial year in 2024, serving as both a celebratory conclusion and a forward-looking commitment between the two organizations.
“This commitment illustrates and strengthens the relationship between us,” said François Tremblay, president of Prevost and Volvo Group Canada. “In addition to generating significant economic impact in our regions, this agreement rounds off a year of celebrations and growth. We are proud to count them among our customers.”
Industry Leaders Reflect on Milestone
Matthew Cassidy, president of Coach Atlantic Transportation Group, emphasized the importance of the partnership while speaking at the announcement event.
“For the last 100 years, Prevost has set the standard in the motorcoach industry for reliability, service, and innovation,” Cassidy said. “This order not only reflects our commitment to Prevost but also assures our key customers that we will continue to grow with them and provide best-in-class equipment and service.”
A Legacy of Excellence
Prevost, a renowned intercity touring and specialty conversion coach manufacturer, has spent the last century perfecting its craft. The company supports its products with North America’s most extensive service network, which includes OEM-operated service centers and mobile service options.
Headquartered in Sainte-Claire, Quebec, Prevost operates as part of the globally recognized Volvo Group, a leader in commercial vehicles and services.
As both companies celebrate milestones, this deal cements a lasting partnership and a shared vision for continued growth and innovation in the motorcoach industry.
