Cadillac is poised to redefine the luxury EV landscape once again. With the success of the OPTIQ, VISTIQ, and best-selling LYRIQ, as well as the impressive ESCALADE IQ, the automaker is adding a new member to their electric SUV family in 2026. Meet the ESCALADE IQL, a version of the iconic Escalade offering more room for passengers and cargo while retaining signature luxury and cutting-edge technology.
“Escalade has been the best-selling luxury full-size SUV in North America since 2014. The ESCALADE IQL is an important addition to the Escalade franchise and the Cadillac portfolio,” said John Roth, Global Vice President of Cadillac. “With the ESCALADE IQL, Cadillac now offers a full lineup of internal combustion and all-electric Escalade options for our customers, no matter the propulsion.”
Designed for Comfort and Space
The ESCALADE IQL stretches just over four inches longer than the ESCALADE IQ, primarily enhancing third-row legroom. While the IQ offers 32.3 inches of space for third-row passengers, the IQL provides a generous 36.7 inches. Notably, an Executive second-row package increases second-row legroom to 45 inches (from approximately 41 inches standard) and adds luxurious features like power heated and ventilated seats and lumbar massage. Additionally, the IQL offers about an inch more headroom than its predecessor.
When it comes to cargo, the IQL excels with over 24 cubic feet of space behind all three rows. Fold down the power-operated third row, and that figure expands to over 75 cubic feet. Plus, the eTrunk (front storage) adds an extra 12.2 cubic feet, making storage needs an afterthought. Whether for long road trips or daily errands, the IQL effortlessly combines convenience with sophistication.
Long Range and Fast Charging
The 2026 ESCALADE IQL delivers one of the best ranges in its class, boasting up to 460 miles on a single charge. Cadillac has also equipped the IQL with ultra-fast charging capabilities, enabling drivers to gain up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes. Whether you’re commuting or setting out on an extended drive, power is never a concern with Cadillac’s cutting-edge battery technology.
Advanced Innovation Meets Luxury
During an interview with The Detroit News, Roth praised Cadillac’s dedication to innovation and excellence in the EV sector. He revealed, “It starts with we are selling the best Cadillacs … in our history as the brand. And as you go back in time, what we talk about is Cadillac is always at its best when it’s innovating. And the innovation that’s going into the battery technology around EVs, the ability to drive the vehicle in Level 2 autonomy with Super Cruise, which just won best tech by Motor Trend, all the investment that we’ve made in the brand going back to the vision plan that was written in 2015 is really now playing out. … Cadillac is one of the only luxury brands that really can speak to consumers in every single luxury SUV EV segment. So, when you bundle all that together, the opportunity for Cadillac to excel is really now.”
