Daimler Coaches North America is making significant strides in expanding its U.S. operations by constructing an advanced delivery and service hub in Jacksonville, Florida.
With a sprawling 43,700 square feet, the new center highlights Daimler’s dedication to the North American market. This facility will facilitate the delivery and maintenance of the Mercedes-Benz Tourrider motorcoach line and offer support for pre-owned vehicles.
A Commitment to Customer-Centric Services
“Building this new facility underlines our continued commitment to the North American market and focus on our customers,” said Dr. Thomas Rohde, President and CEO of Daimler Coaches North America. “It will provide them with a modern environment for the delivery of their Mercedes-Benz Tourrider coaches. We are also showcasing our pre-owned vehicles.”
The project is a testament to Daimler’s goal of delivering a superior customer experience by centralizing services and creating a world-class delivery infrastructure.
Key Features of the New Facility
The state-of-the-art center comes equipped with several features designed to optimize operations and enhance the customer experience. Among them are a 16,000-square-foot maintenance shop, a two-story administration building, and a training and delivery center tailored for customers and service partners.
Strategically located on an 11.9-acre site off Jones Branch Road, just west of Interstate 295, the facility will also include over 100 parking spaces dedicated to motorcoaches.
ARCO Design/Build, a firm reputed for its expertise in large-scale commercial projects, will lead construction. Brookwood Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm, funds this ambitious development.
Tailored for North American Market Needs
The new Jacksonville center will serve as the delivery hub for the Mercedes-Benz Tourrider, specifically engineered to meet the needs of North American clients. Each coach will undergo rigorous final inspections at the Pre-Delivery Inspection & Service Center, where bespoke North American elements such as wheelchair lifts, A/V systems, and 110-volt USB charging ports will be integrated.
Designed as a three-axle high-decker coach, available in both business and premium models, the Mercedes-Benz Tourrider blends luxury, cutting-edge safety, and unparalleled comfort.
