In a significant move to enhance the travel experience, Delta Air Lines has announced Uber as its exclusive rideshare and delivery partner. This new collaboration, unveiled on April 22, 2025, will launch at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, offering a streamlined service for passengers traveling to and from the airport.
This partnership allows Uber users to link their Uber accounts to Delta’s SkyMiles program, opening up opportunities to earn miles while traveling. Whether you’re using Uber for airport rides or ordering from Uber Eats, your SkyMiles balance will grow with every transaction.
“We know that Uber is an integral part of the travel experience for millions of people, with more than 15% of all Uber trips beginning or ending at an airport,” said Camiel Irving, VP of Operations and General Manager of Mobility, U.S. & Canada at Uber. “Partnering with Delta offers an even more connected experience for those travelers, turning their everyday moments into miles that will take them even further.”
Additionally, travelers will be able to link their Uber accounts with their Delta SkyMiles, making it easier than ever to earn rewards during their rides. The benefits extend beyond just airport trips—Uber users can accumulate miles through Uber Eats, premium rides, and Uber Reserve as well.
“SkyMiles Membership is about giving Delta’s loyal customers more ways to earn even more miles, fly with more ease, and experience more of what really matters to them,” said Prashant Sharma, V.P. of Loyalty at Delta. “Our new partnership with Uber not only expands the value of loyalty and makes it easier than ever for our Members to get rewarded – it also opens the door for new audiences to find reasons to love SkyMiles, no matter how often they fly.”
Earning SkyMiles with Uber
Once you link your Uber account to your Delta SkyMiles, here’s how you can earn miles:
- Uber Eats: 1 mile per dollar spent on orders over $40 at restaurants and grocery stores.
- Airport Rides: 1 mile per dollar spent on UberX rides to and from airports.
- Premium Rides: 2 miles per dollar spent on premium rides, including Uber Comfort and Uber Black.
- Uber Reserve: 3 miles per dollar spent on Uber Reserve trips.
This partnership will also include Uber Shuttle services at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, joining the program already in place at New York City’s JFK and LaGuardia airports. Uber Shuttle in Atlanta is expected to roll out in May 2025.
For Uber drivers, this partnership is more than just a chance to earn miles for passengers. It’s an opportunity to be part of a larger, more rewarding travel ecosystem, making every trip even more impactful.
