Coastal Carolina’s Journey to the College World Series Showcased in Style

When Coastal Carolina University secured its place in the College World Series, their transportation partner, CLC Worldwide, made sure they made an unforgettable entrance. CLC revealed a sleek, matte black motorcoach adorned with CCU’s iconic teal accents, just in time for the road to Omaha.

“This is our team, and to be able to do something like this — it’s going to be great advertisement for the college itself,” says Gillian Reinhardt, CCO and owner of CLC Worldwide.

CLC Worldwide, a Myrtle Beach-based company offering motorcoach services across the Southeastern U.S., has also earned a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies. This high-profile project showcased their dedication to going above and beyond for their clients.

Fast-Tracked to Perfection

The custom wrap, completed in just 48 hours, was a last-minute project sparked by CCU’s thrilling win against Auburn in the NCAA super regional. This victory sent the Chanticleers to Omaha with rookie head coach Kevin Schnall, a 2016 College World Series champion as a CCU player, leading the way.

“It was actually a three-day project crammed into two,” Reinhardt explains. “We had to clean it, remove the old lettering, and then get right to work.”

A Collaborative Effort and School Spirit Galore

The design for the wrap was handled by Design the Sign, a woman-owned business and long-standing vendor for CLC Worldwide. Both the designer and the business owner are proud CCU alumni, adding layers of meaning to the project.

Reinhardt shares, “It was cool because they got to do something like that for their school. We wanted it to stand out — the matte black with the teal is just striking.”

The finished product didn’t just impress the team; it captivated fans online. A CCU-uploaded debut video of the bus has already racked up over 145,000 views. “It was supposed to be a surprise for the team, but upper management at CCU was so excited they released it early,” Reinhardt says.

A Gesture of Gratitude

CLC Worldwide took on this project as a heartfelt gesture to honor their long-standing client. Reinhardt explains, “We really see our clients as partners. They’ve been good to us, and we wanted to do something special in return.”

Reinhardt, a former photographer, documented the entire process in a time-lapse video. “It’s been amazing walking around showing people — everyone freaks out. It’s definitely a head-turner.”

The Chanticleers may have entered Omaha as underdogs, but thanks to CLC Worldwide’s striking custom bus, they made the trip with the confidence and style of champions.
