J. J. Keller & Associates recently announced significant updates to its cloud-based FleetMentor System, designed specifically to help small and midsize motor carriers streamline safety and compliance management.
According to a 2025 J. J. Keller Center for Market Insights study, 48% of companies with fleets of 0–99 vehicles identified maintaining accurate and organized driver qualification files as their top compliance concern. Additionally, 44% stated staying current with regulatory changes was the most critical aspect of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) compliance.
“Based on the needs of today’s busy professionals, we updated FleetMentor to be even more effective at helping them succeed in spite of often limited safety and compliance resources or regulatory expertise,” said Frances Crowley Yuronich, Senior Product Manager of Technology Solutions at J. Key Updates to the FleetMentor System:

- Modernized Site Design: Experience a redesigned, modern interface with streamlined navigation for ease of use.
- Driver Training Management: Access over 950 e-learning courses and manage training enrollment and delivery.
- Flexible Recordkeeping: Expanded tools to track data on accidents, vehicles, maintenance, inspections, drivers, and non-driving employees.
“Feedback from our beta testers has been incredible,” Crowley Yuronich noted. “We had one participant respond, ‘This looks AMAZING! I am excited to use the new system.’ And it’s no wonder based on the strong demand we’re seeing for easy access to regulatory info, operational tools, driver training, and our regulatory experts.”
Looking ahead, additional updates scheduled for late 2025 include tools for managing MVR monitoring and DOT drug and alcohol testing. Current FleetMentor users will transition to the updated version seamlessly as their data is migrated to the new platform.
