David Torra Steps In as VP of Operations at Premiere Transportation
In Albany, New York, Premiere Transportation has welcomed David Torra as its new vice president of operations. Torra officially began his role on June 9, bringing with him over 20 years of leadership in transportation operations, compliance, and fleet oversight.
Known for strengthening cross-department collaboration and refining processes in DOT-regulated environments, Torra’s arrival signals a push for more innovation and operational excellence.
“We’re excited to see the fresh new thoughts and the experience he brings to the table,” said David Brown, president of Premiere Transportation.
ENC Appoints Transit Industry Veteran John Obert to Oversee Midwest Sales
ENC, the transit bus manufacturer headquartered in Riverside, California, has named John Obert as its new Midwest regional sales manager. Obert’s career spans more than 35 years, including influential roles at Nova Bus, Daimler Buses North America, and Luminator.
His track record includes leading complex sales initiatives and helping some of the country’s largest transit agencies improve procurement processes and fleet upgrades.
“John is one of the most experienced and trusted sales professionals in the industry,” said Dan Trujillo, ENC’s vice president of sales. “His technical knowledge, customer-first mindset, and track record of success make him a tremendous asset to ENC.”
Obert will support agencies in the Midwest with their zero-emission vehicle transitions, and his new post comes as ENC ramps up production at its Riverside plant under new ownership.
Charlie McCarron Joins AA Systems’ Field Service Team
AA Systems Truck and Bus has expanded its field service capabilities with the addition of Charlie McCarron, who brings four decades of hands-on experience in the motorcoach and bus world. Based in Florida, McCarron is now supporting customers across eight Southern states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Throughout his career, McCarron has served as a technician, shop manager, and business owner. He now travels in a fully equipped service van carrying essential parts, streamlining repairs, and keeping buses on the road with less downtime.
AA Systems operates three locations in New York—Wyandanch, Mineola, and Yaphank—and supplies both OEM and aftermarket parts for motorcoaches, transit buses, school buses, and heavy-duty trucks. The company’s roots go back to AA Brake in Brooklyn and AA Systems on Long Island, two family-run businesses that officially merged in 2022 under third-generation leadership.
