MMA Members Strengthen Motorcoach Connections in Historic Gettysburg

The Maryland Motorcoach Association’s 2025 Group Leader Travel Showcase in Gettysburg brought operators, planners, and suppliers together to share ideas, build connections, and prepare for the future of group travel.

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, became a hub for collaboration and inspiration as members of the Maryland Motorcoach Association (MMA) gathered for the 2025 Group Leader Travel Showcase and Operators Meeting. The three-day event brought together tour planners, suppliers, and motorcoach operators for workshops, exhibits, and networking opportunities designed to strengthen industry ties and spark new partnerships.

“This Showcase came at an important time for the motorcoach and group travel industry,” said Mary Presley, executive director of the Maryland Motorcoach Association. “With travel demand on the rise, this event helped highlight destinations like Gettysburg for future tours, educate operators on new trends and safety updates, and strengthen partnerships between planners, suppliers, and operators.”

The event, held September 28–30, blended professional development with community building. Sessions covered everything from travel trends to operational best practices, helping operators prepare for the growing demand in group travel. The showcase also gave attendees a chance to connect with destination representatives looking to attract more motorcoach tours to their regions.

MCI hosted an evening social at the Wyndham Gettysburg, offering members a relaxed environment to continue conversations and build relationships.

Scott Michael, president and CEO of the United Motorcoach Association, addressed attendees with key updates on federal policy and ongoing advocacy efforts aimed at supporting operators nationwide.

“This industry depends on teamwork,” Presley said. “When our members meet, whether in a session or over dinner, that’s when new ideas and partnerships begin.”

The MMA’s annual gathering once again proved to be more than a meeting—it was a reminder of the strength of community within the motorcoach world, where collaboration continues to drive the industry forward.
