A new book from veteran rideshare driver Darren Everett offers a firsthand look at the challenges, unusual encounters, and unpredictable situations that can come with working overnight rideshare shifts.

Titled Rideshare After Dark: True Stories from a 30,000 Ride Driver, the book draws on Everett’s experiences completing more than 30,000 rides during late-night hours. According to Everett, the stories range from humorous passenger interactions to situations involving safety concerns, criminal activity, and difficult rider behavior.

Everett’s background includes decades of professional driving experience, including work as a shuttle driver, limousine driver, VIP transportation driver, and rideshare operator. The book draws on those experiences and his years working in passenger transportation.
